Pipeline’s “surprise” demands immediate & massive containment tank response

The Pipeline's Challenge: Europe’s oldest and largest pipeline was expected to be emptied prior to maintenance work. However crude oil was discovered in it, prompting a rapid response from Baker to reduce the risk of a delay in the project or an oil spill at the refinery site.

The Baker Solution:  The quick design, delivery and installation of 11 70 m³ steel tanks connected with over 100 metres of heavy-duty, flexible hose and manifolds which eliminated the risk of a spill while the pipeline was made ready again for future use.
