The Pipeline's Challenge:
Europe's oldest and largest pipeline was supposed to be empty during maintenance work. But crude oil was discovered in it, prompting a rapid response action from Baker to reduce the risk of a delay in the project or even an oil spill at the refinery site.
The Baker Solution:
The quick design, delivery, and installation of eleven 70,000 litre steel tanks connected with 100+ meters of heavy-duty, flexible hose and manifolds. Subsequent oil pumping eliminated the risk of a spill, while the pipeline was made ready again for future use.
