The Chemical Plant’s Challenge: Cleaning of the plant’s main aromatics tank was complicated by the lack of on-site storage capacity — which meant the liquid could not be reused — and that high external waste treatment costs would result.
The Baker Solution: Baker engineers and sales professionals planned and installed an integrated storage facility comprised of containment tanks, containment berms, and heavy-duty flexible hoses with manifolds.
The tremendous flexibility and ease in storage volume expansion — simply connect additional fixed-axle tanks to the manifolds as needed — allowed the maximum retention of a valuable process liquid. Not only were cost savings significant, but the customer was able to complete the turnaround without having to dispose of the process liquid, saving valuable time.
