Competent Person
A one day, 8-hour course that contains essential information
for both the excavating contractor and rescue professional.
Prerequisite: None
Cost: $135 per person*

Awareness
A half-day, 4-hour program. Introduces participants to the
inherent dangers of excavation work, what to do and what
not to do when dealing with an entrapment.
Prerequisite: None
Cost: $750 per group session (estimated)*

This program is usually conducted at a customer provided
location on a private basis or as a joint venture with others.
Location may affect cost of program. |

Trench Rescue - Operations
A two-day, 16-hour program. Participants will learn all
shoring options available, complete with hands-on training.
Participants will know how to deal with failed side
walls and other difficult excavations. To help prepare each
participant for the program, study materials and a pretest
are sent prior to their class date. Tests are collected at the
start of the program and are a requirement along with full
attendance and hands-on participation in order to receive
a certificate of completion.
Prerequisite: Completion of a “Competent Person” training
class for Trenching & Excavating. We strongly suggest a
quality course with a minimum of 8 hours instruction.
Cost: $270 per person*

Trench Rescue - Technician
A three-day, 24-hour program. Participants will learn how
to install supplemental sheeting and shoring, shore “L”
and “T” trenches, shore deep excavations, install Wales
and secure utilities.
Prerequisite: Completion of the “Operations” level class.
It is highly recommended that the two are completed within
a year of each other.
Cost: $375 per person*
