LEVEL II

In addition to all points in a Level I inspection,
these tests are performed:

  • NESHAP test performed on P/V valves
  • Tank filled to brim with water for 20 minutes and
    visually inspected for leaks

LEVEL III

In addition to all points in a Level I and II
inspection, these tests are performed:

  • Ultrasonic wall thickness readings taken for all unlined
    tanks—tank walls, floor, and top

PUMPS

LEVEL I—BEFORE DELIVERY

  • Check coolant level
  • Check oil level in both crankcase and seal reservoir
  • Check oil pressure with engine running
  • Take vacuum level reading at 1500 RPM and 15 seconds after engine is shut off
  • Make sure fuel tank is full
  • Visually check tires and inflation, pipe, hose and fittings, and for general damage

UPON DELIVERY:

  • Review operation instructions with customer
  • Check and record oil pressure
  • Check and record vacuum level reading again at 1500 RPM and 15 seconds after engine is shut off

LEVEL II—UPON PICKUP

  • All Level I “Before Delivery” inspections
  • Visually inspect engine for external damage
  • Check engine hr. Number recorded on oil filter
  • Inspect fuel system & electrical system
  • Check that RPM governor seal is intact
  • Make sure correct battery is installed
  • Check for Damage to suspension, jacks & hitch
  • Ensure no liquid remains in the pump
  • Check for debris in volute
  • Check if customer’s requirements were satisfied

LEVEL III— MAINTENANCE CHECKUP AND SERVICE

  • Check and adjust fan belt tension
  • Check air filter element
  • Service battery - Top off electrolyte level/clean cables
  • Check all external bolts and nuts for tightness
  • Check & clean crankcase vent
  • Visually check impeller for debris or damage and record impeller wear
  • Check wear plate clearances.
  • Check & clean NRV ball/flapper
  • Check oil to mechanical seal
  • Check and lubricate volute drain to make sure valves are working freely
  • Check bearings for play - Adjust and grease if needed.
